System Recovery - Now IE8 does not show in my control panel

I've tried to download again but get error message:

System cannot continue because a more recent version of Internet Explorer
has been detected on this computer.

Tried to delete in my program files but obviously that is not working
either...

PLEASE HELP ME!

What happens if you Run... (e.g. press Win-R and enter:)

control.exe inetcpl.cpl

You could also try this repair for that program:

regsvr32.exe /n /i inetcpl.cpl

Good luck

Re: System Recovery - Now IE8 does not show in my control panel

my internet explorer 8 refuses to run at all. The regsvr32.exe/n/i
inetcpl.cpl doesn't work on my computer. i want to uninstall and reinstall
but my computer won't let me. I can't set it as default because it does not
work at all.
