Why would you want to? What's the point?
If you bought a 2009 Corvette would you want to make it look like a 1965
Corvette?

You can't make a dog look like a cat, and you can't make IE 7 look like
IE 8.

Re: Tool bar in IE7

You can make a few alterations, but not many. As the other's pointed out,
"You're not in Kansas anymore".

How to move the Standard toolbar to a location that is above the Address bar
in Internet Explorer 7:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/930645

You can force IE7's menu bar to the top and hide IE7's search box at:

Hi Viktor Krammer

That solved the problem. Now it is a single line and IE has maximum
space.

One question: How do I enter an URL in the address box? It shows
(empty) all the time.

Thanks again

May be not 1965 but there is hardly anything I bought and I have not
tweaked to suit me - having worked in auto, machine tool, electronics
etc I have developed the mindset to always improvise and today it is
software.

Anyway thanks for responding. And many thanks to Grey and Hagan too
for their time.

Do you mean the Quero address box drop-down list? It remembers your last
typed addresses and searches, if you have not disabled it (see also Quero >
Options).
