Address Bar

Why do we have to type HTTP://www with the new IE8? The old one we didn't
along with Mozilla and Chrome. Any ideas? I know about the ctl+enter, but
that is an annoying extra step?

Re: Address Bar

You don't need to type "http://" - Internet Explorer will automatically
do this for you.

You need to put "www" in as the websites require it. There is a
difference in "www.google.com" "mail.google.com" and "google.com" and it
is up to the websites to decided how to handle each.

Re: Address Bar

Hi,
In Internet Options> General> Appearance> Languages, verify that "Do not add
'www' to the beginning of typed web addresses" is unchecked.

Hope this helps,
