| IE/Outlook Problem I'm not sure if this should be posted here or on the Exchange board so I'll try here first. We recently migrated from Lotus Notes to Exchange and most everything is working fine. However, all of our users, when in Internet Explorer if they click on File - Send - Page by E-mail it opens Lotus Notes. We have gone into Internet Options - Programs and changed the e-mail program to Microsoft Office Outlook. One oddity is, if the user clicks on File - Send - Link by E-mail it works fine and opens Microsoft Outlook. Any ideas where it is pulling this information from and how to change it to open with Outlook rather than LN? Thanks. |

| Re: IE/Outlook Problem [crosspost to OL General] Windows version(s)? IE version(s)? OL version(s)? You mentioned Exchange: Are you using OWA? Assuming WinXP: 1. Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Set Program Access and Defaults | Click on the downward-pointing arrows to the right of the configuration that's already checked | Email: Select "Outlook" here (not "Use my current..."). 2. Outlook Tools | Options | Default Messaging Programs: Make sure OL is the chosen Mail handler here, too. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Client - since 2002 CAskier wrote: > I'm not sure if this should be posted here or on the Exchange board so > I'll try here first. > > We recently migrated from Lotus Notes to Exchange and most everything > is working fine. I tried step 1, even deselected the box next to "Enable Access to this program" for Lotus Notes and clicked the radio button next to Outlook but the same problem still occurs. Step 2 was already done. Any other suggestions? Thanks for pointing out step 1, I wasn't aware of this area. |
