Is IE8 still beta?

My friend told me IE8 is still beta.. wonder why it showed up in Windows
Update then? That's the only reason I installed it. If I'd have known it was
so bad I wouldn't have. Uninstalled it and went back to IE7 and everything
is great again.

While it may be RTM, it -is- still beta quality, so your friend's half
right.

Tell you friend to check on Microsoft's website and get back to you.
