IE8 a runs like a slow hog on XP, SP3.

Hi -

I don't understand why this was released, with that statement that it is the
"fastest."

Personally, I have not intention to use it again until the product has been
refined!

I will stay with IE 6 with additional security - at least it is responsive!

No amount of security can protect you from an outdated browser.

If you can't get IE 8 to work for you, use another browser. It's more
important to have updated protection.

What is the error message when you try to edit the hosts file?

I could not open mine either until I found that TeaTimer (which runs
continuously) had a handle to the file. The problem went away when I
stopped TeaTimer.
