About two hours ago, IE7 crashed and now won't launch. Firefox works fine,
so I know its not my server. Last night I loaded Adobe Air and AlertThingy
for twitter. When I shut down last night some updates automatically loaded
as well. I don't know what they were - the auto-updates I presume. Can't
think of anything else that's changed. IE7 worked when I initially logged on
four hours ago. What's going on?

There is a very good chance are that you are seeing the affects of a
hijackware infection.

1. See if you can download/run the MSRT manually:

2. Run this online scan (in safe mode w/networking, if need be):

3. Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting the requested
logs in an appropriate forum, not here.
