| top of page refresh i use msn as my home page. when i am on this page, or any other microsoft page such as "ten gadgets to ..." the page loads. if i cursor down to see past the ads, it will jerk back up to the top. again and again and again, ad infinitum. this is horribly frustrating while trying to read something that is in the middle or bottom of the page. the ads refresh or change and voila, it pops right back to the top of the page. i can't even hold the scroll bar on the side to where i like to read. any suggestions? what can i alter in the settings, as i can't find any other help for this problem. another frustrated IE7 user. -- mitchell a |

| Re: top of page refresh Hi, Windows XP or Vista? (Might or might not matter.) Start IE7 without add-ons from: Right-click the IE icon on the desktop. Choose Start without add-ons. or Programs> Accessories> System tools> Internet Explorer (no add-ons) If the problem goes away, you have an incompatible browser add-on installed. See: http://www.enhanceie.com/ie/troubleshoot.asp for troubleshooting information. Note: there is reportedly an updated driver for Logitech Cordless mice which corrects scrolling problems with IE7. If you don't find an updated driver for your specific model of mouse, the driver for a newer, similar mouse may work. Also, posted to a newsgroup: We have a laptop that was doing this using a Logitech cordless optical mouse. We fixed it by checking the tickbox "Scroll in Active Window Only" in mouse properties. - - - - There have also been issues with nwiz.exe, a user interface feature of some NVIDIA video drivers. Disabling nwiz.exe through MSCONFIG> Startup helped.
