Can anyone tell me how to get Adobe Flashcopy to work in IE7 under Windows XP SP3? Whenever I attempt to use Adobe Flashcopy in this environment, I always get the following error message:

"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player."

I have reinstalled "the latest Flash player" several times, but I still get this message.

There are numerous settings in IE7 that reference Java. I have tried tinkering and turning on all of these settings, but to no avail. Unfortunately, the above message provides no clue as to which JavaScript settings that it thinks are turned off.

The Sun Java Console works OK in IE7. When I display the Sun Java Console, it states that I am running the following:

Java Plug-in 1.6.0_07
Using JRE version 1.6.0_07 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM

Finally, Adobe Flashcopy works OK in Mozilla Firefox 3.

This utility ran OK. It also removed the other Flash Player plugin for Mozilla
Firefox and other web browsers, which I subsequently had to reinstall.

As for reinstalling the Adobe Flash Player, I downloaded your

I then rebooted my computer, and ran the above download, after which I
again rebooted my computer, as per your instructions.

This approach fixed my problem. I can only guess that the Adobe Uninstall
Flash Player utility does a more thorough clean up than trying to uninstall
using the Control Panel\Add or Remove Programs function. Thank you.

Also, I apologize for erroneously referring to the Adobe Flash Player as
"Adobe Flashcopy" in my original posting. I do not know what I was
thinking of when I wrote that. The only other similar product that Adobe
has is the Adobe Shockwave Player. I have corrected the above Subject
heading, but not my original posting.
