Does anyone know why my pc when Windows Vista would stop working on
downloading games and other downloads for sweepskates? It was working find
and it had a bug and it will not work at all. HELP ?????????????? Please.

If anyone can help me and let me know why everything that was working great
and just no longer works. I had this same problems when IE7 came out and I
found that I had to download a stand alone flash player or media to get it to
work. The new media player does help some. I am also having my pages shut
down and in IE7 and restart this has just started. I don't what is going on.
I also, have Norton and it is running great. I had to spybot on my PC to
protect me from spyware and my PC. So does anyone know why the JAVA will not
work?? My downloads get all the why to the end and that is it and will not
open. Thank you.

I know of three causes for the vast majority of such problems:
1. You might have incompatible add-ons:
Go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools
and click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

2. Tools | Internet Options | Advanced
Scroll to the bottom and click Reset Internet Explorer Settings. Read this

Note that the Reset IE Settings button will delete AutoComplete data (such
as passwords.) Do you have those backed up?

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?
For quite a few people it's by installing programs like Messenger Plus,
whose ads for
malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince you that you
owe it to the author. See also:

Don't ever do a "default" install of anything. Always choose Custom and see
what else is being carried along. Don't install any extras you're not sure
of.
