| ie7 error and malfunction Hi there, first some info: im using ie7 on Vista Home premium in my laptop (all updates done) im using wireless connection at work and at home problem: when surfing, some of the pages do not appear at al and i get "..cannot display the webpage" error...however, when i hit the refresh button, the page displays without problems... the error is random regarding the pages, one page that caused the error may be ok after 10 minutes... some news sites often auto-refresh themselves, in such cases the error may appear during one of these auto-refresh's, but when i do it manually the page is ok again... what i did without success :) 1-cleared all the int temp files, cookies etc... 2-run a virus and spyware check(clear) 3-thought some files may be damaged, so did a filescan 4-my securiy software(Avira Premium Suite) might have conflicts so i disabled its firewall and all webshields..i also disabled the phishing filter and turned the protected mode off 5-increased the timeout duration via dword entry in the registry 6- tried another browser 7-uninstalled and re-installed the wireless adapter maybe formatting would be a faster solution :) im savig this message to a text file, cus most prolly ill end up with an error again :) |
