trying to accesss adobe website; ie7 freezes

needed to upload adobe flashplayer; used Kayman's advice for uninstall
ActiveX and reinstall flashplayer only via the direct link instructions.
after that I attempted to verify by going to adobe.com. IE7 freezes and
stops working on this website. maybe its adobe? I am unable to get their
support forums because its connected to adobe.com. What to do?
