| Re: Which of the delete options in IE Options removes Run items? Hi, Frank is correct, I think. Clearing the History deletes the Run MRU (for me) on Vista/IE7. On XP/IE7 it does not. But, I hate to lose my Run history or TypedURLs list (Address Bar) so I export these two registry keys periodically as a backup: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\RunMRU HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs Hope this helps, Don [MS MVP- IE] "ira" <someone@somebody.com> wrote in message news:%231PF4ILtIHA.4560@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > Hi there: > > Interent Options--->General tab-->Delete offers five vertical columns of > delete options. > > TIF, Cookies, Histroy, Form data, Passwords > > One those if memory serves also deltes the items i had listed in : > > Start-->Run > > I'm trying NOT to delete those. > > Which should I avoid clicking on? > > Kind regards: > > -Ira > ---- > > Windows XP Pro > IE7 |

| Re: Which of the delete options in IE Options removes Run items? Hi, No guarantees, but if your installation of XP acts like my installation of XP, the Run MRU list won't be deleted when you delete the History. But, as I advised, you can run regedit, navigate to the RunMRU key and export it. Then if the RunMRU list gets deleted, you can right-click> merge that saved REG file to restore it. | Re: Which of the delete options in IE Options removes Run items? FWIW, clearing IE 7 history does not clear my Run history. I have Windows XP Home SP 2. Perhaps it's different with Vista, and maybe it will be different once I apply SP 3. --- Leonard Grey Errare humanum est Don Varnau wrote: > Hi, > Frank is correct, I think.
