redirecting

My boss lives in Argentina. His default homepage is www.yahoo.com. This
last week when he pulls up IE (7) it started redirecting him to
ar.yahoo.com. Is there a way to prevent the redirect?

Thanks, Andre

There may be no way to prevent this as the user is in Argentina.
Yahoo detects the geographic location and re-directs automatically.
Best bet - have your boss contact Yahoo Argentina.

Still might not work as Yahoo seems to be able to locate the country
of origin of the IP address you are using. (geolocation???)

I have never been to Yahoo on my system before and it re-directs me to
my country now.

You're welcome - although this is really a Yahoo issue.
Good luck.

Re: redirecting

Try this:

1. Delete all Yahoo cookies.

2. Go to www.yahoo.com

3. Scroll down to the news section.

4. Click on Local.

5. Enter a US city or ZIP code (if possible) and make it the default
location.
