| Re: MSIE or WIE? If you use IE7 for (Windows) Internet Explorer 7, IE for Internet Explorer (all versions), and Explorer for Windows Explorer, you can't go wrong IMHO. <w> -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Desktop Experience - since 2002 AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L http://dts-l.net/ Cat wrote: > I've been using the name MSIE for many years. Obviously context is everything if you are going to use acronyms so it is rarely important to include "MS". When discussing Microsoft's Word program, do you still use MSWord or just use Word? Context makes the difference as to how detailed you need to be. You'll find plenty of users that would recommend POS as the appropriate acronymn. |
