| Strange behavior of IE7 Hello I have some problems with IE 7. After these problems, I did a new Installation, just a few minutes ago, but problems remain. On a XP SP2-System. 1. extras -> internetoptionen It opens for a few milliseconds and closes again. 2. normal small site: Looks ok and I can have a look on the sourcecode. Site with more than about 30 to 40 kB -> IE stops rendering, at the end of the site, there is the html-code on the Screen. Just a few characters, then it stops. After this and if I'm lucky, then I can have a look at the Sourcecode. The complete code after this Error ist missing. Mostly I cant open the sourcecode. I did a new Installation of IE7.Same Errors. I shut down the GData Internet Security Package. Same Errors. What happens? Does somebody know? Peter -- AbisZ-EDV.de, Engelskirchen, NRW, Deutschland, Germany |

| Re: Strange behavior of IE7 You may have another horked (dirty; bad; flawed) install of IE7. I suggest that you... 1. Uninstall IE7 (which automatically returns you to IE6) EXACTLY per http://www.ie-vista.com/kbase2.html 2a. Uninstall all toolbars and third-party Windows Themes (including Window Blinds). 2b. Disable all Norton Add-ons, if applicable. 3. Reinstall IE7 EXACTLY per http://www.ie-vista.com/known_issues.html#pre-install, and using http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/default.mspx as the installation source, not Automatic/Windows Update. Tip: Save the installer to your desktop, do not Run it. 4. IMMEDIATELY go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and install any critical updates offered. If a "Root Certificates" update is listed in the Optional category, you might install it, too, to take full advantage of IE7's additional security.
