JScript performance is inconsistant, newbie needs clue.

I'd written a ECMA-262 "script" for a prompt box. It worked nicely,
prompting me for a number and displaying it in the HTML (after I'd
thumb-wrestled with the information bar about ActiveX controls.) It worked
once, but I could not reposte the page, except that it wrote blank, nor get
my prompt box to return by opening a new Explorer window, not even by having
windows open Explorer for me by double clicking on the .html in my documents
file. Why does my prompt box not do it's thing?

Please advise, if appropriate, of where I might learn such things. I
understand the use of this forum and the need to keep it relatively
uncluttered; I've no interest in driving you out of your minds, even while
Windows is doing as much to me.

Hi HDL,

You question is directed towards Web page development, not IE per say.

Do a web search for MOTW = 'Mark of the Web'

IE7 Web development forum
