Internet explorer has encountered a problem

I dont know what's going on with my internet explorer, but when i open it
says there's an error and it closes. When, i open my internet again. It works
for some seconds, but then it says there's an error and it freeze my whole
computer. I tried to fix this and i coulnt... I even did system recovery, and
it seems that it works. Today is doing the same thing and i dont know what to
do when i click on the "click here" to see what the error contains. It says
the error comes from a file. i copied the file location and when i go and
check it says that file doesnt exist. I dont know what to do i really need
help.

Re: Internet explorer has encountered a problem

I didn't go to Hogwarts so I can't divine what versions of Internet
Explorer and Windows you have.

1- Start IE 7 with no add-ons. If the problem no longer occurs, one (or
more) add-ons was causing the problem.

For Windows XP: All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet
Explorer (No Add-ons)

For Windows Vista: Type Internet Explorer in the Start Search box >
click Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons)

2- Reset IE 7 to its original configuration. If the problem no longer
occurs, one (or more) incorrect configuration settings was causing the
problem.

Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > under Reset Internet Explorer
Settings, click Reset.

Note: If you want to continue to use any of your add-ons after a reset,
you'll have to reinstall them.

3- Most third party security applications interact with Internet
Explorer to protect your computer from malicious software. Check the
settings in your security software to see if this is happening to you.

4- Problems with IE 7 can also be caused by the presence of viruses or
other malicious software.

IE version?
Windows version?

Do a thorough check for malware, following all of the steps at one of these
Web pages.

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?
For quite a few people it's by installing programs like Messenger Plus,
whose ads for malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince
you that you owe it to the author. See also:

Don't ever do a "default" install of anything. Always choose Custom and see
what else is being carried along. Don't install any extras you're not sure
of.

RE: Internet explorer has encountered a problem

This error message happens to me when I close the app via the red X.

Someone else in the group suggested that it could be due to NVIDIA and its
drivers.
