| IE7 Won't Remember Password I have a number of staff members that sign in to a website utility which lets them edit our various web pages. When they sign in using IE6, they get prompted with the login box which has the check button to remember password. When they check it, the next time that they sign in the login appears with the username and password already filled in. In IE7 when they check the password box, the next time that they sign in, only the username is prefilled and the password needs to be typed in each time. How can I fix this so it works like IE6? Thanks |

| Re: IE7 Won't Remember Password Assuming WinXP machines, uninstall IE7 via Add/Remove Programs. What you're seeing is part of IE7's enhanced security. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Desktop Experience - since 2002 AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L http://dts-l.net/ beerdini wrote: > I have a number of staff members that sign in to a website utility > which lets them edit our various web pages. | Re: IE7 Won't Remember Password If this is enhanced security, why even have the Remember Password check box present if it's good for nothing in the end? That doesn't make sense to me. Possibly you have an anitvirus or other program that's locking the settings of IE7 and thereby preventing the password checkbox from sticking. I know some programs like Avira and Spybot have settings to lock your IE settings.
