| Videos on YouTube.com When I attempt to play a video on YouTube.com, I get the following error: Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. (the error provides the following link) - Get the latest Flash Player I click on it to get the latest Flash Player, but it will not complete the installation. I'm running IE7 on WinXP. How do I check the status of JavaScript in IE7? Has anyone run into this error before and have a solution? Thanks Charliec ************************************************** **** Charliec |

You might try the following to resolve your issue with getting the Flash Player to install properly on your machine. 1. Download the Manual Flash Player Uninstaller utility provided by Adobe at the following site: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/view...4157&sliceId=2 or download it directly from this link: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/f...ash_player.exe Use this utility to completely remove Flash from your machine. 2. Download the Manual Flash Player installer file from the following link: http://www.macromedia.com/go/full_flashplayer_win_ie Run this installer to re-install the Flash Player to your machine, it will install the latest public release of the Flash Player (9.0.115.0) to your machine. Note: Before you run this installer, be sure to temporarily disable any third party security applications that might prevent writing to the Registry during the install. If the above procedure does not resolve your Flash Player problem, it's possible that you have a Registry permissions problem that needs to be resolved before the install can be made successfully. If that turns out to be the case, then you might try following the procedure detailed here to resolve the issue: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/view...34cb&sliceId=2 The Adobe Flash Player forum is another helpful resource for troubleshooting help: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforu...184&forumid=44 Finally, I believe Adobe offers free Flash Player installation support at the following site: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/ Select "Flash Player" from the drop down list and then click on "Open a Customer Service Web case".
