Another autofill question...

So, autofill works nicely... but it doesnt save certain passwords!
I've tweaked with the options, reset the cookies, tried EVERYTHING to make
this dang thing memorize my ebay, microsoft.com, paypal, and yahoo mail
password, but it JUST doesnt want to!

Anyone else have this problem? This is THE ONLY REASON I even CONSIDER using
netscape... (I dont remember passwords too well...)

Anyone know a fix?

Re: Another autofill question...

Hi,
Password caching may be disabled by the website for security reasons. I
noticed a year or two ago that PayPal and EBay would no longer save a
password. Passport and Live passwords (Microsoft) generally won't be saved.

For Yahoo and other sites, you might try IEPassview
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/interne..._password.html Download,
install and run and delete Yahoo username/password data. That should reset
the login and allow the password to be saved.

Hope this helps,
Don

Do you mean autofill from some third-party toolbar or IE's AutoComplete?
IE version?
Windows version?

Re: Another autofill question...

No, IE's autocomplete. Windows XP Media Center. Netscape is able to save my
passwords for yahoo, ebay, and the microsoft.com site as well. IE, however,
is not....

IE version 7.

Re: Another autofill question...

Oh, and i just tried that one third-party program that was posted a bit ago,
that fixed the ebay and paypal situation, but not www.yahoomail.com or
microsoft.com login info. The last two still don't save...

That sounds like a Passport/Windows Live ID. If it is, the only place I've
ever seen that one saved is in Vista's Windows Mail.

P.S. I don't know which third-party program that is.
