Been using IE 7 for a while. Windows XP SP2. Have Norton antivirus 2007 for
the past year. Been using yahoo mail for 10 years. Over the past few weeks
I have had trouble downloading / opening .doc or .pdf attachments. Support
from ATT had me delete all browser hx, have medium internet security, accept
all cookies, turn off pop up blocker, close then reopen browser. This worked
three times (after each I was able to open a few attachments before having to
do this again). Today I did all of this and still cannot open attachments.
Level 2 support at ATT said it is an IE7 problem. I downloaded IE7 updates,
rebooted, still cannot open attachments.

What if you uninstall Norton and run this utility?
