was just doing a windows update and was wondering why the installation
dialogue locks the whole of IE, surely one of the reasions for having tabs is
to get on with something else while things like this get on with it.

also under help there is a feedback option which looked like a good place to
mention this but you get a link to the FAQ and a small link to the newsgroups
on a different page. Perhaps a more direct form of feedback would stop people
like me moving to firefox and opera.
