Manage Add-Ons will not let me view "Add-ons currently loaded in Internet
Explorer" from the drop-down menu. Is there a flag in the registry to fix
this? I suspect something is installed that doesn't want me to see current
modules usage in the Add-Ons. I have read about setting some group policies
for disabling Add-Ons, but can't find anything regarding this problem--yet.

Thanks for your response, but IE was already loaded, I should have stated
that in the post. I noticed an Add-On I did not recognize, and disabled it.
I'm not sure how I missed it before. I was able to track down the CSLID in
the registry and remove the Key(s). After that, I could see the currently
loaded Add-Ons.

I have the same issue, and this is with a fresh install of Windows XP Pro SP2
and IE 7. I had to get a new hard drive because of issues with my original XP
Pro SP2 install and that one appears to be borked although maybe if I can
repair the registry on that drive, but that's not what I'm writing about
here. I can't get the add-on's window to appear in IE 7. This may be related
to Adobe flash 9 not completing an install, but I don't know if that is of
any relevance. I'm going to be dealing with Adobe on that as that particular
issue is there problem, and not Microsofts. I would like some advice on how
to get the add-on window to appear since it refuses to from internet options.
Any advice is appreciated!

If uninstalling Flash

and then (re)installing Flash Player v9.0.115.0
(http://www.adobe.com/support/flashpl...loads.html#fp9) doesn't
resolve your problems...

You may have a horked (dirty; bad; flawed) install of IE7. I suggest that
you...

1. Uninstall IE7 (which automatically returns you to IE6) per
http://www.ie-vista.com/kbase2.html

2a. Uninstall all toolbars and third-party Windows Themes (including Window
Blinds).

2b. Disable all Norton Add-ons, if applicable.

3. Reinstall IE7 exactly per
http://www.ie-vista.com/known_issues.html#pre-install, and using
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/default.mspx as the installation
source, not Automatic/Windows Update.

4. IMMEDIATELY go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and install any
critical updates offered. If a "Root Certificates" update is listed in the
Optional category, you might install it, too, to take full advantage of
IE7's additional security.
