help my internet explorer can not display the webpage

I totally lost all my web pages they all say "Internet explorer can
not display the webpage". I called my internet provider and they went
thru the usual things and what they usually do didn't help so they
told me to talk to microsoft.

Re: help my internet explorer can not display the webpage

What version of Internet Explorer?

What version of Windows?

Exactly what does "I totally lost all my web pages" mean? What web pages
are you referring to?

Re: help my internet explorer can not display the webpage

Try this in Internet Explorer 7: Tools > Diagnose Connection Problems

If no joy:

To determine if your problem is caused by a third-party add-on, start IE
7 with no add-ons. If the problem no longer occurs, one (or more)
add-ons was causing the problem.

All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)

To determine if your problem is caused by incorrect configuration
settings, reset IE 7 to its original configuration. If the problem no
longer occurs, one (or more) incorrect configuration settings was
causing the problem.

Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > under Reset Internet Explorer
Settings, click Reset.

Note: If you want to continue to use any of your add-ons after a reset,
you'll have to reinstall them.

Most third party security applications (security suites, anti-virus
programs, anti-spyware programs, firewalls, ad-blockers, etc.) interact
with Internet Explorer to protect your computer from malicious software.
Check the settings in your security software to see if this is happening
to you.

Problems with IE 7 can also be caused by the presence of viruses or
other malicious software.

You may have an incomplete or damaged installation if you did not
carefully follow the pre-installation preparation described here:
http://www.ie-vista.com/known_issues.html#pre-install.

If so, uninstall IE 7 (which returns you to IE 6) by following these
directions:

"How to uninstall Internet Explorer 7"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927177

....and...

http://www.ie-vista.com/kbase2.html

and then re-install IE 7 following the directions above. Rather than
installing through Microsoft Update, download the IE 7 installer from
Microsoft and install directly from your hard disk.

Re: help my internet explorer can not display the webpage

It seems like your proxy settings are incorrect. Check by going to:
Tools > Internet Options < Connections < Lan settings
I have none of the boxes checked. Some have Automatically detect settings.
If that is checked try unchecking it. If it is unchecked try to oposite
