IE7 problem scrolling with wheel

Whenever I use the scroll wheel on my mouse in IE7 (and only in IE7) the
screen movement continues for an extra 4 or five clicks after I stop
scrolling. This even happens if I only do one click on the mouse. It clicks
down the screen an extra 4 or 5 times before stopping. This started when IE7
was installed. What's causing this problem?

Re: IE7 problem scrolling with wheel

Hi,
Visit the mouse manufacturer's website to search for updated drivers. There
were many reports of problems with IE7 and Logitech Cordless mice. An
updated driver fixes this.
If you don't find an updated driver for your specific model of mouse, the
driver for a newer, similar mouse may work.

Also, this from an archived post:
We have a laptop that was doing this using a Logitech cordless optical
mouse.
We fixed it by checking the tickbox "Scroll in Active Window Only" in mouse
properties.

Hope this helps,
Don
