Help with Internet Explorer 7 (vista_

hi there folks
new to vista and still to get my head around it fully. Having a hard time
finding the options I need on the toolbar. Specially the back, forward, stop
etc buttons are missing. No doubt it is something really simple

would appreciate advise

Torrie

PS reviewed the following info on the microsoft website but it did not seem
to shed any light....

I'm having a hard time finding the options I need on the toolbar. Where can
I find all the options I use in Internet Explorer 6?

Internet Explorer 7 was designed to be more streamlined and less cluttered
with unnecessary items. Our goal was to maximize the screen real estate
devoted to the webpages that you want to view and reduce the toolbar "creep"
that can sometimes take up as much as a third of the screen.

Most of the options you used in Internet Explorer 6 are still there. The
Back and Forward buttons are smaller and have been moved next to the Address
Bar. The Windows flag icon in the upper-right corner of Internet Explorer 6
has been removed to make room for the Toolbar Search Box. There is also a new
Favorites Center that contains your favorite websites, RSS feeds, and
browsing history. Make sure you explore the new toolbar to see all your
options including printing, page view, settings, and more.

Re: Help with Internet Explorer 7 (vista_

I found Paul Thurrott's article very helpful in understanding the new
interface of Internet Explorer 7 as well as its many new features:

http://www.winsupersite.com/reviews/ie7.asp

Microsoft has done a pretty good job in explaining the new browser as
well. You can 'take the tour' and watch a video:

Re: Help with Internet Explorer 7 (vista_

Have you spent any time reading IE7 Help? Start with the section "Learning
how to browse the web faster and more easily" and expand/read all
subsections; i.e., "To return to webpages you recently visited" and "What to
do if a webpage isn't working".

If it's the same as IE7 on XP then Back and Forwards are those two LARGE
buttons right at the top L/H side of the Window, and Stop is the BIG RED X
the other side.....
