| IE7 won't remember login info for basic authentication Hi there - For some reason, IE7 has stopped remembering login info I enter even though I am religiously checking the "Remember my password" box. I emptied out all my network passwords from Control Panel > User Accounts > {User name} > Manage Network Passwords. I also reset all IE settings and deleted every bit of history, but all to no avail. Any suggestions would be welcome! Note these are not Intranet domains, but a public website. Thanks! Grant |

| Re: IE7 won't remember login info for basic authentication Please excuse my inserting myself into this discussion but I am having this same problem on Vista but not on XP. Because I am limited to dial-up internet access, this is a major pain. I have cleared all temp files per your immediatly previous instruction but this doesn't address the problem at all. Can you help? -- thanks, Independent "PA Bear" wrote: > Windows version, please? > > IE Tools > Internet Options > Content > Autocomplete > Settings > Delete > autocomplete history: Did you do this yet? > -- > ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) > MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) > AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net > DTS-L.ORG http://66.39.69.143/ > > > Grant I wrote: > > Nope. > > > >> Is it a SSL (Secure) site? > >> -- > >> Grant I wrote: > >>> For some reason, IE7 has stopped remembering login info I enter even > >>> though > >>> I am religiously checking the "Remember my password" box. | Re: IE7 won't remember login info for basic authentication ok. Sorry. I didn't think that duplicate problems were supposed to be logged separately. My mistake.
