| IE7/google problem For several months when I try to go to a specific website...www.linkedin.com..., instead of opening the site, I get a "google" list of linkedin sites (as though I had typed the url into google instead of IE7). That's bad enough but when I then try to link from the google list, I receive the message that Internet Explorer is unable to open the site. Strangely though, once in a blue moon, I am able to link to the site directly from IE7, but 5 minutes later the same previous problem happens. And today, that same problem happened with www.walmart.com. What is going on and how do I fix it? |

| RE: IE7/google problem It's because of the software that was installed by Microsoft which allows searching from the address bar. If there's any delay from the server you want to go to, your page gets hijacked. Under Internet Options, scroll down to "Search from the Address bar," and select "Do not search from the Address bar."
