| IE add-ons, enable/disable I click, Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools and get Internet Explorer (no add-ons). I've followed all instructions I could find on this topic but still unable to "Enable" add-opns. Please Help |

| Re: IE add-ons, enable/disable Hi, Check these two things... 1. Right-click the IE icon on the Start Menu, choose Properties. Go to the Shortcut tab. In the Target field, if "-extoff" is at the end of the path to iexplore.exe, edit it out leaving "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" (leave the quotes.) 2. Internet Options> Advanced> Browsing> check "Enable third-party browser extensions." Hope this helps, Don [MS MVP- IE] "wylie_oo" <wylieoo@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8ABB9DCB-70D1-4AEE-ADD4-495C47B85DEF@microsoft.com... > I click, Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools and get Internet > Explorer (no add-ons). Be aware you are supposed to do the -extoff only and then try to selectively disable add-ons for another instance of the browser which is not in No Add-ons mode. BTW it is quite difficult even getting into the Manage Add-ons dialog using only a browser instance which is in No Add-ons mode. The way I found was to open Internet Options from the Tools menu, pick the Programs tab and use its Manage Add-ons button. When you do that you can see that all add-ons are still marked Enabled, so clearly the implementatioin of the No Add-ons feature is not to temporarily disable all add-ons via the UI, if that is what you were thinking happens.
