| Everything is screwed up! I cannot figure out what happened to my computer. I use Outlook Express to check my email, but when I try to open it it gives me the error report dialog box. When I click to get more info it says: "App Ver: 6.0.2900.2180 Mod Name: msimn.exe Mod ver: 6.0.2900.2180 Offset: 0001145d" When I reboot my computer I also get an application error for hpqthb08.exe "app error 0xc00007b". I have Win XP Pro 2. Right now I'm using my ISP's browswer. When I click on Internet Explorer it doesn't even open a window. When I try to access the Internet Options through the Settings Menu it will not open for me to access it. I've even tried it from Run and no luck. I've used what registry repair software I have with no luck. I have Hijack this, so if anyone can make since of what it says it would be greatly appreciated. | Re: Outlook Express, IE not working, Cannot access Internet Options [We do not interpret HijackThis logs in public newsgroups.] You've got a particularly nasty new Zlob/Vundo/SDBot variant infection that keeps mutating every hour. You'll need assistance from an experienced handler to get the machine cleaned up. (Or you can format & reinstall Windows; a Repair Install will NOT help!) => Do NOT attempt to clean this up by yourself. Do NOT run ANY anti-spyware or cleaning utilities without being directed to do so by your handler! Doing so will only make it more difficult to get the machine cleaned up. When all else fails, HijackThis is the preferred tool to use. It will help you and your handler to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with assistance from an expert. **Post your log to http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22, http://castlecops.com/forum67.html, http://forums.subratam.org/index.php?showforum=7, http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=30, or other appropriate forums for expert analysis, not here.** -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L http://dts-l.org/ Sprieto wrote: > Everything is screwed up! > > I cannot figure out what happened to my computer.
