Controlling IE application window size and position

Is there a way to programmatically control the application window size and
desktop position of IE7 whenever it is launched?

Let me rephrase. How would one go about controlling the size and position of
the IE application window whenever it is run? I have some familiarity with
writing routines for Office applications, but don't really know where to
start with IE7. Code samples would be very informative. TIA for any help.
