We are sorry for the inconvenience." all these and more. this is the data of the error report, hope it help. Error signature AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 7.0.6000.16544 ModName: mshtml.dll ModVer:7.0.6000.16544 Offset: 000b2677 and it also said in other part of the error tat The following files will be included in this error report: C:\DOCUME~1\COMPAQ~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\f2a7_appcompat. txt does it mean that it is this file that are causing problems? |

| Re: Internet Explorer 7 EncounteRing Problems. 2 Problems. Hi, Windows XP, right? From Internet Options> General, clear the Temporary Internet Files, History and Cookies. Restart the machine. Have you had modem, router (if applicable) and computer all shut down for a few minutes at some point? Resetting the internet connection may help. There may be some clues in that file. It's just a text file which lists some of the modules that may have been involved in the crash. E.g. one guess would be that you use some kind of ActiveX control for your posting feature which then might be incompatible with IE7. Etc. Other clues might be found in the drwtsn32.log in the snap dump which corresponds to this Error Signature. E.g. look for a FAULT -> line (eyecatcher in an English version of Windows) which matches the crash address (mshtml.dll load address + crash offset) and then scroll down to the Stack Back Trace. You may find a more specific list of modules involved in the crash that way. Good luck Robert Aldwinckle --- |

| Re: Internet Explorer 7 EncounteRing Problems. 2 Problems. "Vengence" <Vengence@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8467B205-1AD9-4CF3-B062-0CD55BDC055A@microsoft.com... > SO SORRY! i don't have a clue of what i'm suppose to do! T_T > errm.. what u mean by ping -n 1 both the alias and its canonical name? Open a cmd window? Run... (e.g. press Win-R) and enter: cmd.exe In the cmd window enter (for example): ping -n 1 www.microsoft.com This will respond initially with a line which shows the IP address that was looked up using that name. However, microsoft servers are blocked from replying to the ping itself (ICMP packet) due to previous "exploits" which attempted to disrupt service with them; so cancel the request with Ctrl-c <cmd_output> F:\>ping -n 1 www.microsoft.com Pinging lb1.www.ms.akadns.net [207.46.19.254] with 32 bytes of data: Control-C ^C </cmd_output> Notice that the name referred to in the above line is different from the name being pinged? That suggests that the name being pinged is an alias. You can either guess that that second name is the site's canonical name or use nslookup to prove that (the same way that I proved that your site's name is an alias above.) In either case if you want to cache a lookup for IE to use you will need to ping -n 1 that second name. So for your example, <cmd_output> F:\>ping -n 1 modmymoto.com Pinging modmymoto.com [74.86.120.236] with 32 bytes of data: </cmd_output> In that case the ping is replying cleanly. You can see what the difference is by using ipconfig /displaydns <displaydns> modmymoto.com ---------------------------------------- Record Name . . . . . : modmymoto.com Record Type . . . . . : 1 Time To Live . . . . : 13688 Data Length . . . . . : 4 Section . . . . . . . : Answer A (Host) Record . . . : 74.86.120.236 www.modmymoto.com ---------------------------------------- Record Name . . . . . : www.modmymoto.com Record Type . . . . . : 5 Time To Live . . . . : 13688 Data Length . . . . . : 4 Section . . . . . . . : Answer CNAME Record . . . . : modmymoto.com </displaydns> Without pinging the second name (aka the canonical name) the lookup record containing the IP address (the A record) would not be cached. Hence a real lookup might have to be done for each use of your alias name by IE. > > ok.. i writing now the List of Modules ONLY that involves in the crash .... I'm impressed! Manually transcribing that diagnostic is more work than most users are willing to do. Again, you could have got a capturable list from the drwtsn32.log which additionally would give you their respective load addresses. However, there are a few things which jumped out at me. These are not IE modules, so they could be eliminated by uninstalling whatever packages they came with: > Module 24 > DAPIEMontior.dll > Module 29 > mgAdaptersProxy.dll > Module 65 > MEGAUP~1.DLL > Module 76 > googletoolbar5.dll and probably a few more that I don't recognize because I don't usually do this type of analysis. > OKs. i can said that i'm HALF DEAD now... X,X > hope these info helped. Should have. Try getting rid of (at least temporarily) non-standard products. The quick way is to use IE7's No Add-ons mode but that makes IE less usable than may be desirable in cases where the problem symptom is only intermittent. So the next level that I usually suggest is using the Manage Add-ons tool to disable anything except where the Publisher is Microsoft Corporation. Unfortunately that will still leave interferers (such as the Google toolbar) which will show up in your dumps and can't be disabled that way. That's why they may have to be removed in order to test whether doing that changes your symptom. BTW since you have two cases one which works and one which doesn't if you had a list of modules in both cases you could compare the lists to see what the differences are. Doing that might reduce the number of modules you would have to involve in removal tests. In fact, there are two ways you could create such a list for the case which normally doesn't crash. Running ProcMon (SysInternals tool now distributed by TechNet) could give you a list in one of its task records (e.g. after you reproduced the scenario which crashes on the other system.) The more traditional way of getting such as list is to deliberately crash the working app with a breakpoint dump using drwtsn32.exe and its /p parameter. /p stands for PID so you need to know the PID of the task you want to crash. Then you look in the resulting drwtsn32.log for the list of modules... ; ) > any more info required for specifed Module pls tell me. > i just want to get my hands off this Problem SOON! :) I would still like you to try to look for the modules list under the Stack Back Trace (of the crashing thread) for the modules which were specifically involved in the crash. The list you gave from that Details... diagnostic is of all modules loaded with the task. Not all of those would necessarily be involved in the crash. So doing that could both reduce the number of packages you would have to perform a removal test with and even perhaps home in on a specific suspect.
