| Cannot Disbale Check for Server Certificate Revocation in IE7 I have Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7 and there are numerous sites that I cannot access (mostly financial and banking) because it says the site's server certifcate is not valid and has been revoked. This simply cannot be true as these are well known, high profile banking and financial sites that millions use daily, and they are up to par. I am not sure what is causing this, and I have tried to disable the check for server certifcate revocation on the Advanced tab in Internet Options, but every time I restart IE7, it is checked again. I also have Norton Internet Security and Norton Confidential installed, and I turned everything off from those two programs, and I disabled ALL of the Symantec Add-Ons on the Management tab, but to no avail, the box remains checked, and I cannot access vital sites that are impacting my personal finacial situation. I am running SSL 2.0 (not SSL 3.0) and TSL 1.0 The check for publisher's certificate revocation is and remains disabled. What gives? Is there some other way to rectify this problem or disable the server certificate check? Can or should I go back to IE6, never had this problem with IE before. I am at my wit's end, and have had almost enough with IE7 and Vista. |
