After downloading Internet Explorer Version 7 I can no longer access Ebay. I
have a message that there is a DCN error. Also I receive a message on my bar
that states Internet Explorer is currently running with add-ons disabled.
When I try to download ActiveX controls from the Microsoft office site my
machine states that it is unable to download based on the signature or lack
there of validation.

I am not very computer literate so any simple instructions that can assist
me in undoing the mess I created will be most appreciated.

Try a "Reset" of your IE7. Tools / Internet
Options / Advanced (tab) / Reset button.
