| IE7 no longer works after I get this msg Everytime I reboot I get this popup: MSASCui.exe - unable to locate component. This application has failed to start because MpClient.dll was not found. Not a clue what happened. Haven't installed anything in weeks. IE7 starts up, but stays on the CONNECTING status. OE does work however.... Any clues? Thanks |

| Re: IE7 no longer works after I get this msg You're asking me?...as if I have a clue? First hit of a web search with Google tells you that MSASCui.exe is a component of Windows Defender. Another web search tells you where to find Defender newsgroups: "Newsgroups for Windows Defender: Learn and share information" http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...s/default.mspx --- Leonard Grey Errare humanum est Daniel Kaplan wrote: > Everytime I reboot I get this popup: > > MSASCui.exe - unable to locate component. | Re: IE7 no longer works after I get this msg You apparently have some issue with Windows Defender. Since we don't know your Windows version, I'll hand you off to the separate newsgroups for Windows Defender support and comments.
