| Cross Frame Text Selection Hi, I am trying to get the currently selected text when the user clicks on a custom button. The button is one one frame and the text is in another. The button is not a standard button like <input> but is a <div> tag with an <img> in it. The problem is that just as the user clicks on my button then IE cancels the selection and I cannot get the text using createRange. If I change the the custom button to an <input> button it works. or If I move all the code into the same frame it all works. Neither of these is an option for my application. Is it possible to stop the cancellation of the selection or to catch an event pripor to it to get the text selection. Firefox is fine as it does not cancel the selection. Simon |
