| IE6 and IE7 Group Policy Bug. I have found a very specific problem with the IE group policy extensions, and I was wondering if any one else has seen this and/or found a fix? The problem is with the ‘Per Site Privacy Options’ found under ‘Privacy’ tab then ‘Sites’ button. If you add cookie exceptions in group policy they are applied correctly. In our environment we need to have ‘Internet Explorer Maintenance Policy Processing’ set to ‘Process even if the Group Policy Objects Have Not Changed.’ When this is set ‘Per Site Privacy Options’ are cleared if the policy is refreshed while IE is open. At this point if you close IE and open it again the ‘Per Site Privacy Options’ are applied again. I have done some troubleshooting and found that the registry values that are set by the group policy are always applied to the client computer, it seems to be IE that will not pull these settings after the refresh. Any help? Thanks, Dwayne. |
