Images Not Showing

I have IE7 running in Vista. Sometime last week it stopped showing PNG images
on webpages. All the other image types still show up fine. Any ideas on how
to fix this?

Re: Images Not Showing

Hi,
Did you install or update Firefox last week? (Just wondering)

First try clearing the Temporary Internet Files from Internet Options>
General> Browsing History> Delete> (next screen) etc.

Go to Control Panel> Default programs> Associate a file type...> png> Change
program> (select) Windows Photo Gallery.

Then... Control Panel> Default programs> Internet Explorer> Set this program
as default.

Since those steps probably didn't resolve the problem. ;-)
Go to Control Panel> User accounts> Turn User Account Control on or off.
Disable UAC. Restart. Do png images display? Running with UAC disabled is
not recommended, but has resolved this png problem for some users.

Hope this helps,
Don

RE: Images Not Showing

Please visit this link. I'm guessing that not only your .png's are not
visible in Vista, but you cannot open Windows Media Player either.

This issue has been going on for some time and it's not easy to duplicate.
We have started a forum for this here.
