| Windows Vista Home and Internet Explorer opening multiple windows/ I have a new Gateway computer, and can't log into some websites. As I enter a password, to click login, multiple window begin to open as well as multiple tabs all with the same login page I was working in. Does anyone know of a fix for this? This is very annoying!!! I was going to try to uninstall IE Explorer then reinstall it, however, the site recoginzes I have it installed, and doesn't offer it for downloading. I tried going to reinstall it through the Control panel, but it isn't an option when adding or removing windows components. Any thoughts? |

| Re: Windows Vista Home and Internet Explorer opening multiple windows/ Hi, You may have an incompatible browser add-on (especially considering the unnecessary programs loaded on OEM machines.) See: http://www.enhanceie.com/ie/troubleshoot.asp for troubleshooting information. The troublesome program may not show up as an add-on. Disable other security, privacy, ad-blocking, appearance tweaking programs to see if one of them is causing the problem. Any program that interacts with Internet Explorer could be causing this. The connection with IE may not be obvious, such as Google Desktop or WindowBlinds. A firewall will probably not be causing this problem, but be sure to turn on the Windows Firewall from Control Panel> Windows Firewall before disabling a third-party firewall or security suite during testing.
