This just started yesterday. I go to open IE7 and within 10 seconds it
crashes and gives an error message of...

AppVer: 7.0.6.00.16512
ModName: Nppw.dll
ModVer: 2006.1.0.54
Offset: 000390F1
The following files will be included:
C:\documents~\owner\locals~1\temp\35e9_appcompat.t xt

What I've done so far...I've turned off add-ons and deleted damaged
downloaded programs in my temp files. I have also run system check and
Norton. Nothing worked. Only way I was able to open it was with add-ons off
and disconnected from the internet. ?? That doesn't do me any good. :)

This is sooooooo frustrating. How can I get IE7 to open and work!?!? I
appreciate all your help! :)

Hello,

there's a post from the 25 Aug called "IE7 Closes Down" that shows the same
problem.
I think there's an answer available.

Thanks so much for both your quick responses. I have only one other problem.
I'm accessing the internet from a friend's computer -- since I can't keep IE
open long enough to access the internet -- how do I do the helps suggested on
my wounded pc?

Keep tapping F8 as the computer starts and choose Safe Mode with Networking.
