| IE v7 - not closed after installing "Update for Windows XP (KB9278 Hi All, I did install by Microsoft Update the "Update for Windows XP (KB927891)". After installing this update I got problems to close IE v7. The symptoms are that the IE screen starts to close (some contents disappear) but than hangs. I have to kill IE with the Windows Task Manager. At that time the "Windows Update Agent 3.0" was not available. So after uninstalling the "Update for Windows XP (KB927891)" the problem disappeared. At the moment "Windows Update Agent 3.0" was available, I installed both "Windows Update Agent 3.0" and "Update for Windows XP (KB927891)". However, the same problem returned to close IE v7. The symptoms are that the IE screen starts to close (some contents disappear) but than hangs. I have to kill IE with the Windows Task Manager. Does anybody else has the same problem? Microsoft update recommends to install those updates. So what should I do: uninstall them again or is there another way to fix this. -- Best regards |
