Cable Modem Problem

For three days last week, I had to run ipconfig /renew about every minute or
so to reach the internet. All lights on the modem were working, and ipconfig
turned up the normal values.

Roadrunner came to the house. "It must be your machine because the signal
looks o.k. If it was our equipment, it would be 100% no go."

Suddenly, this AM I'm back on and it's normal. So now there is no way to
try my machine at a different location and re-produce the problem.

Is this my machine? Or is this something "on the pole." I wonder whether
this is a problem others have had, and what did it turn out to be?

Thank you.
