| Current viewed page should remain after aborting page load When I click a link and the new page takes too long to load I may click the close button (X), but sometimes that causes the current page to disappear and I'm left with a blank page. If the page with the link disappears before I click close then I'd expect a blank page when I click close, but if I click close while I'm seeing content, then that content should remain. I also hate when clicking close doesn't work at all and I have to wait for the page to finish loading or for an error message or else I have to open the task manager to close the page. Maybe there should be a browser button that closes the window the way the task manager closes it. If it gives the same instability warning as the task manager then I don't think it would be too dangerous. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
