Hi,
I have Windows Vista Business on my machine and the version of IE that comes
bundled alongwith it. IE7, i think.
I have the autoupdate feature on so that the latest updates get installed as
well.
Since the last few days, my IE just wont work.
Everytime i try to open ANY web site, it gives me a the "Save File" dialog
box even if its just an .htm file.
I cant even open IE at this point because it wont open even the default page
"go.microsoft.com....."

HELP!!!!!!!

Right click the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop. Choose Run without
Addons. See if that works. If it does you have a bad addon

Hi,

I dont get the option that you are referring to on right click of the IE
shortcut.
The only options that i get are the standard ones "run as administrator" etc.

Any clues how i can uninstall/reinstall the addons / IE ?

You can't uninstall IE7. The only way to reinstall it is to reinstall
Vista.

You should be able to right click the IE icon on the desktop
and choose Start Without Add-ons.
Or go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet
Explorer (No Add-ons).
If your computer maker installed Vista without these options, go to Tools |
Internet Options | Advanced and uncheck "Enable third-party browser
extensions".
