| Just installed IE7...error message on boot I just updated/installed IE 7 on my Toshiba laptop. During boot, I get this error message: SmartBridge Alerts: MotiveSB.exe - Entry Point not found.....Procedure entry point Get ProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL What does this mean and how can I fix it? IE 7 seems to be running OK but it's an annoying message every time I turn on my computer. Thanks! |

Try the fix described here (about PSAPI.DLL error): http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/aa740486.aspx See also: http://www.enhanceie.com/ie/troubleshoot.asp Problem: Error message about PSAPI.DLL If you install IE7 and the following error message begins to show: The procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL 1. Search your hard disk for PSAPI.dll. 2. Any copies of this DLL that are found outside of the Windows or Windows\System32 folder should be renamed to PSAPI.bak. Reboot. Again... *Do not rename the PSAPI.DLL file in your \\Windows\System32 directory*. -- Vincenzo Di Russo Microsoft® MVP - Most Valuable Professional Windows - Internet Explorer since 2003 My Blog: http://blogs.dotnethell.it/vincent/ My Home: http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ |

| Re: Just installed IE7...error message on boot Thanks Vincenzo! Just did a search and looks like I have lots of DLLs. So I rename ALL the files except those in sys32?
