Printing, IE 7, Vista Ultimate home network

I cannot print on my local network using IE 7. I can print using Word 2003.
I get a message essentially saying IE will close and will offer a solution,
but there is no solution.
Furthermore, when I click on a link it takes 30 to 60 second before I see
the web page. A speed test showed that the download is a least 600 to 800
Kb/s.

I am using a Dell Dimension XPS 710 - Intel E6700 - 4 GB RAM.

Can I repair IE 7 ?

You can get rid of all extensions and return to defaults with the Reset...
button (aka RIES).

BTW I suspect a more relevant detail will be the manufacturer of your printer
and the version of the driver it is using. Have you tried a different printer
to see if the symptom persists after that change? (E.g. use a generic
printer with its print to file feature, assuming Vista has such a thing?)

Good luck

Re: Printing, IE 7, Vista Ultimate home network

You see monsieur Robert, the server printing spool had decided to shut down
for no apparent reason, also my printer HP LaserJet 1000 connected to an old
XP Pro PC was no longer shared -- Why ? Dunno !! -- Everything is back to
normal now.

Merci, for your time.
