| No Tabs in IE7 after fresh install Hi, I have a PC which wouldn't show the tabs in IE7. We believe the user had installed a beta version, so decided to format her machine and start from scratch (it had various other problems). Yesterday, I formatted it, reinstalled all Windows Updates including IE7. I accepted all the defaults for IE7 installation and off it went. Upon launching IE7, it still showed no tabs!! The box is ticked for tabs to be enabled... I uninstalled it, then done a Windows Update, and it detected it needed to be installed, let it reinstall, but still the same. We have checked our servers and there are no restrictions in Group Policy... Anyone any ideas? xmllite.dll is present on the system... Kind regards Colin |

| Re: No Tabs in IE7 after fresh install You may have a horked (dirty; bad; flawed) install of IE7. I suggest that you.., 1. Uninstall IE7 (which automatically returns you to IE6) EXACTLY per http://www.ie-vista.com/kbase2.html 2. Uninstall all toolbars and third-party Windows Themes (including Window Blinds). 3. Reinstall IE7 EXACTLY per http://www.ie-vista.com/known_issues.html#pre-install, and using http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/default.mspx as the installation source, not Automatic/Windows Update.
