| Outlook Web Access on Exchange 2003 and IE7 We have a new laptop with Vista and IE7 on it and we have SBS 2003/Exchange 2003 on our server hosting our own mail. When we try to connect using OWA we can connect an view email and contacts and calendars. But when we try to create a new email or reply to an email, we can not. We have the text box with a red X in the upper left corner and we cannot do anything. I have seen others posting this problem but no working solutions yet. This basically makes OWA useless and many people very frustrated. Please advise??? |

| Re: Outlook Web Access on Exchange 2003 and IE7 Hi, The Exchange Server may need to be updated by the server admin / IT staff. You receive an error message when you try to perform any editing tasks, or you must click to enable the compose frame in Outlook Web Access http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=911829 Or try this workaround (from an archived post) When you log on to OWA below your username and password choose the Basic mode instead of premium. Hope this helps, Don [MS MVP- IE] "Holcomb.frank" <Holcombfrank@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:ACF5F558-58FB-466F-9FDF-B60C5288846E@microsoft.com... > We have a new laptop with Vista and IE7 on it and we have SBS 2003/Exchange > 2003 on our server hosting our own mail. | Re: Outlook Web Access on Exchange 2003 and IE7 Don, The workaround does not help. But the Link to support.microsoft.com did. The hotfix made it work. But before the hotfix can be installed you have to be sure and have the Exchange Service Packs loaded, 1 & 2. Then we could install the hot fix and it worked. Thanks for your help.
