| Delay with IE7 Start up I am having a 5-20 second delay in IE starting up after clicking the IE Quicklaunch, or double clicking the Desktop Icon, or startmenu icon. It will begin to start up, blank, and all white, stating that yahoo is loading (my homepage) yet hangs for 5-20 seconds. I HAVE: Cleared all temps, cookies, etc, both with Ccleaner and also ran cleanmgr. Fully Scanned for Virus, Malware, Adware, Greyware, Rootkits, etc, with both software applications by Webroot Spysweeper, AVG AntiVirus, Spybot- Search and Destroy, and AdAware, nothing found, I have also scanned online with Panda Activescan and Trendmicro HOUSECALL, again, nothing found. I have (as a precaution only) disabled my software firewall (Sygate) and my Linksys Router and tried connecting directly through my cable modem (8 Mbps) and still slow loads. My System configuration below: Windows XP Home, Service Pack 2 FULLY UPDATED AMD Athlon XP 2000+ 1.67 GHz, 736 MB of RAM 40GB HD with 32.8GB Free Sygate Firewall Linksys Router AVG AntiVirus (Free Edition) Webroots Spysweeper Lavasoft AdAware 2007 (Free Edition) Spybot- Search and Destroy v1.4 Javacool Software SpywareBlaster |
